Behind the Scenes | 2018

Time for my third annual Behind the Scenes post! I have loved doing this post the last couple of years! I saw the idea from some photographers in the industry and always loved seeing these posts, so three years ago I asked Ben and Evie to make sure we took more pictures of each other working throughout the wedding days. We have gotten some great shots of each other working so that y’all get to see a little of how things work behind the scenes, but we have also some funny behind the scenes pictures, especially ones of me!

This year I’ve added a new feature to the post in which I show you the photographer taking a picture, be it Ben, Evie, or me, and then you see the picture that they took in that moment. I think it’s a really cool part of the post that you should check out!

So without further adieu, here is my 2018 Behind the Scenes post! I hope you enjoy looking through it as much as I enjoyed putting it together! Thanks to Ben, Evie, and Jackie (for my beach wedding) for all of the fun behind the scenes pictures from 2018! I can’t wait to see the ones we get for 2019!

Ben, the ever constant fluffer and dress carrier.   We often use each other for lighting tests. Sometimes we know when we’re taking the pictures and sometimes we don’t, which sometimes means we are making weird faces!  And then I get captured squatting in weird positions…  Taking pictures of detail shots  I often show my couples pictures back of camera or through same day slideshows. I always love their reactions to seeing their pictures! It’s why I do what I do! And then there are times when we get into each other’s pictures.I actually love this one because this is the SAME moment. You can see both Ben and me in each other’s shots, but the faces of both brides and bridesmaid as they dance together!There are times when we get in each other’s pictures and I’m okay with it, because I know I can edit Evie or Ben out, or even myself if needed. Say, “bye Evie!” And then, there are all of these LOVELY faces I’ve made throughout the year that Ben and Evie have so graciously caught on camera.Lots of pictures of each other’s backs  Many pictures of herding and directing groups of people to take pictures.  And just pictures of us taking pictures!  Pictures of me looking at pictures A picture of me giving Andie her wedding gift from meHow we get those epic veil shots. Run, Evie, run!  And of course my favorite, pictures of me dancing with my girls!    Some fun side-by-side pictures of one of us taking a picture and what the outcome of the picture looks like!
