Valerie and David | Bull Mountain Lodge Wedding

When I think of my ideal MMP bride, Valerie comes to mind 100%. She found me on Instagram a year or so before she was engaged to David and followed me and loved my work. She got engaged to David last spring and before anything else was decided for the wedding plans, she pulled up her Instagram and showed David my page and said, “THIS is our photographer. No matter what we do, I want Mandi to shoot our wedding.” She knew my work, but she also knew me; and I loved it! She called me and we had such a great conversation and told me about their wedding at Bull Mountain Lodge in Dahlonega; she even talked to me about Levi! I immediately loved her and her personality and I knew she and David would be a perfect MMP couple! She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and a huge supporter of my business. Not only have I shot their engagement and wedding pictures, but I also shot their pictures during my fall mini’s last year for their Christmas card. I have a feeling Valerie is going to give the 2018 MMP brides a run for their money during my annual anniversary contest in December!

I’m a little surprised they didn’t get married in Roswell, because so much of their relationship high points has been here. They got engaged in Roswell and had their engagement party there. Their amazing photographer is located in Roswell! (hehe) We did their engagement pictures in Roswell as well! And even their caterer is located here. But they chose Bull Mountain Lodge because they most feel at home in the woods. The venue reminds Valerie of her home in the woods in Massachusetts where she grew up, so this venue was perfect for them!

I loved all of the personal touches for their wedding. One really cool connection was that Valerie’s mom used coral for her bridesmaids dresses when she got married back in 1981. Unbeknownst to Valerie (until the week before the wedding), she used the same colors for her bridesmaids dresses! Her something blue was a family heirloom embroidered by her sister.

Valerie and David value relationships and friendships very much- which is one of the reasons why I loved them booking me! We have become such good friends in the process. They had their really good friend, Rob, marry them. He’s been a good friend of Val’s for years; they knew they wanted him to be a part of the wedding and officiate so much so that they asked him the night they got engaged if he could do it! And Rob’s wife, Hannah, was their sweet coordinator for the day!

Valerie and David, thank you so much for having me for your wedding at Bull Mountain Lodge! I loved every part of the day. You two were so joyful and so much fun! I can’t wait for the next time we get together for another session!
