You may or may not remember Jordan and Steele, because their original Golf Club of Georgia wedding was supposed to be on May 2, 2020; which means I did their engagement pictures fall of 2019. I don’t need to tell y’all why they just had their celebration May 1, 2021. But I can tell you that they went ahead and got married in a small intimate, close family ceremony last year on their original wedding date. We originally pushed their reception to September 2020, but had to push it back again. To remove as much of a chance to reschedule a 4th time, they decided to have their vow renewal ceremony and reception on their anniversary weekend. Let’s just say Jordan’s mom, Linda, and I got to become good friends in the process of all of the rescheduling! We FINALLY got to get together on May 1, 2021 for their celebration! Like the back of their final invitation said, “Third time’s a charm!”

The Golf Club of Georgia was the perfect place for their celebration. I love what they did for their ceremony. Instead of pretending they hadn’t gotten married and do vows again for the sake of doing vows, they did a sort of renewal and got to share their first year of marriage and other parts of their relationship into the ceremony. Jordan’s dad got to walk her down the aisle again, and later in the evening when he was giving his toast, Brent joked that “it’s rare that a Dad gets to walk his daughter down the aisle twice and to the same guy each time!” I love how my couples have embraced this crazy time and joked about how plans didn’t go originally according to plan.

Their Golf Club of Georgia wedding was gorgeous, but sunny and bright! It makes it hard to shoot large groups of people in direct sunlight. You end up with a lot of shadows on many faces and people squinting and eyes closed. I walked the facility when we got there to try and figure out the best spot for pictures. We couldn’t go out onto the golf course with the golfers, so we were limited to around the clubhouse. I found a spot with perfect light and a gorgeous backdrop. The only drawback… it was in the middle of the road where people came into the parking lot. I figured we would try it anyways and move over when we had to. Y’all, I’m not sure if this is normal or not, but we only had to move twice for cars in the hour we were taking pictures! You will see the pictures I’m talking about and see why I wanted to take them there!

I feel truly blessed to have been able to capture this amazing day for this sweet couple. They were so patient for their celebration with friends and family, and I’m sure they both will say that their day was worth the wait! Jordan and Steele, thank you both so much for allowing me to be there for your celebration. May the Lord continue to grow you and your marriage and may you glorify Him together better than you could apart!
