A Perfect Yes at Montaluce Winery
Nick knew exactly what he wanted for this moment. He wanted something calm, real, and full of meaning. So he chose Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega. It gave him everything he needed—rolling hills, soft light, and a quiet kind of magic. Nick reached out to me with a message I loved right away. He said, “I want you to shoot this, so just tell me your availability and we will do it then.” It felt easy and honest. He gave me a few date options, but my weekend filled up fast. In the end, we had one day that worked, and that became the day. Sometimes the best plans come together in a simple way. We did have a little hiccup earlier in the week due to some accidental scheduling issues with the winery, but they made it work and we made it happen! I love a sweet Montaluce proposal!
We planned every detail together. We talked through where he would stand, how Erika would walk up, and how the light would fall across the vineyard. Nick cared about each part of it, and that always makes a difference. It showed in the way the moment came together. I loved the spot he chose from the options I provided him. Audrey and I showed up early and set up some flowers for a sweet spot for Nick to pop the question!
A Modern Love Story
Like so many couples in 2026, Nick and Erika met online- specifically Hinge. Their story started with a simple swipe, but it quickly grew into something much deeper. By the time this day came, their connection felt strong and steady. They arrived at Montaluce Winery like it was just another outing. Erika had no idea what was about to happen, no idea her Montaluce proposal was about to go down, so much so that she tried to get them to walk another direction initially. Nick stayed calm while also internally panicking a bit, but eventually he was able to lead her to a spot that overlooked the vineyard.
The Moment She Said Yes
The light hit just right as they reached their spot. The hills stretched out behind them, and everything felt still for a second. Nick turned to Erika and got down on one knee. Her reaction said everything. She felt surprised, excited, and full of joy all at once. She said yes, and just like that, the moment turned into something they will remember forever.
Exploring Montaluce Winery Together
After their Montaluce proposal, we spent time walking around the winery for a mini engagement session. The property gave us so many beautiful spots to use. The vineyard rows, the open views, and the warm tones all worked together so well. Nick and Erika relaxed right away. They laughed, held hands, and really took in what had just happened. That time right after a proposal always feels special because everything still feels new.
A Team Effort
My friend Audrey joined me that day and brought her drone along. She captured the property from above and added a whole new layer to their story. Her images showed just how beautiful Montaluce Winery is and gave even more depth to the moment. I loved having her there to be part of it. Thanks for joining us, Audrey!
A Day to Remember
Nick and Erika’s proposal felt simple in the best way. It felt true to who they are. There was no rush and no stress, just a beautiful moment in a beautiful place. Montaluce Winery set the scene, but their love made it unforgettable.
