A Weekend to Remember at Barnsley Resort
Some proposals take a little extra planning, especially when two busy schedules and a long-distance relationship come into play! Rosemary and Chad’s Barnsley Resort proposal was one of those special days that took time, care, and a little patience to plan. But when everything finally came together, it was well worth the wait!
Rosemary and Chad met online. They both work in the medical field, with Rosemary working as a nurse and Chad completing his residency as a doctor. Between their busy schedules and the distance between them, finding time to meet wasn’t always easy. They had to work hard to find a quiet weekend when they could spend time together.
Chad also had a special plan in mind. He wanted to include their parents in the celebration, which made finding the right date even more important.
Planning the Perfect Barnsley Resort Proposal
Chad reached out to me to help plan his proposal. We talked through all the details and worked together to create a special moment for Rosemary.

After all the planning, the big day finally arrived!
A Beautiful Proposal and Engagement Session
Chad’s proposal went just as planned! Rosemary had no idea what was coming, and it was so special to capture this big moment for them.
After the proposal, we took advantage of the beautiful property and enjoyed a mini engagement session. Barnsley Resort has so many lovely spots for photos, and we had a great time exploring the grounds together. It was a wonderful chance for Rosemary and Chad to relax, enjoy being engaged, and celebrate this exciting new chapter in their lives.
I love including a short engagement session after a proposal. The excitement is still fresh, and couples can enjoy some beautiful photos without the pressure of a full engagement session. It also gives them a little time together before the rest of the celebration begins.
A Surprise Family Celebration
But the surprises weren’t over just yet!
About 30 minutes after the proposal, Rosemary’s parents arrived to celebrate with them. Rosemary had no idea they were there, which made their arrival even more special. Chad had worked hard to include both of their families in this big moment, and it was wonderful to see everyone come together.
After the excitement of the proposal and photos, they all headed to the restaurant at Barnsley Resort for a special dinner. It was the perfect way to end such a wonderful day!
