Can I tell you how much fun I had with Lauren and Ned this weekend at their Piedmont Park engagement session? I hadn’t met them until the session, which is a new thing for me. With my new business model, I try to meet with my clients first at a bridal show or consultation or at least talk to them on the phone before I book them. Lauren and her mom, Mary, found me on Facebook a few months ago; and Mary was the one to reach out to me about Lauren’s wedding this October and her sister’s wedding next summer. Mary and I had a wonderful conversation and by the end of it, Mary told me she would talk to her girls, but that she knew she had found the perfect photographer for their weddings. Unfortunately, I’m booked next summer already, but I still get to take pictures for Lauren and Ned!
I loved absolutely loved meeting with Lauren and Ned! We hit it off immediately and had such a great time getting to know each other and taking pictures. They laughed at my corny jokes, so I knew they were a perfect couple for me. Whether they were humoring me or actually thought I was funny, I don’t know; but either way, there was lots of laughter!
It had rained all day Sunday, so we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to get together for pictures; but we looked at the forecast and decided we would try it. The ground was soaked and my step stool sunk into the ground a few times, but I’m glad we decided to go for it, because we didn’t get any rain until the very end!
Afterwards, we went to Loca Luna for a yummy dinner of tapas and more fun just talking and hanging out. Lauren and Ned are superstars! They moved to a new apartment the same day we did our pictures, so I know they were tired; but it didn’t show at all in their pictures! I just cannot wait until their October wedding. I know we are going to have an absolute blast!
Look at the sun coming through the trees. Perfection.
Almost kiss…
Can we talk about this gorgeous ring for a second?
I love everything about this picture: the lighting, the pose, Lauren’s sweet smile.
We got photobombed by a duck!
I just love her smile and genuine laughter! So precious!
We finished the evening about 10 minutes before I had planned because of the rain. If you pay close attention to the picture, you can see the raindrops falling. We got wet walking back to our cars, but at least we got our pictures done!
Great Photos and a beautiful couple!
