Rachel and Jake | Lullwater Park Engagement Pictures

I met Rachel and Jake a couple of months ago for a consultation thanks to a referral from a good photographer friend of mine, Claire Diana. (Thanks Claire!) We had such a great time getting to know each other, hear about how they met as Civil War reenactors, and hear about their love for Jesus that shines through their relationship with each other. I loved hearing about their love for history, because as a middle school Georgia Studies teacher for 7 years, I taught a lot of Georgia and U.S. History and the Civil War era was always my favorite to teach. These two share a love of history and military; and Jake served in the Marines for a handful of years, so it was fitting that he wore his uniform for a portion of their Lullwater Park engagement pictures yesterday. And y’all, Rachel MADE her blue dress she’s wearing!

We had originally scheduled their pictures for before Thanksgiving, but it was in the middle of the three weeks of rain we had, so we had to reschedule. It worked out perfectly, because the weather was a lot warmer yesterday than our previous attempt and it was not gross!

Rachel and Jake are seriously the sweetest couple! Rachel said that people tell them they are the couple that others tell them “makes them sick” because they are so cute and adorable together. She’s right. I didn’t have to do much to help them “be cute” in their pictures yesterday, because they were already so cute together! You can tell they truly love each other! It shows in all of their pictures. I cannot wait until their wedding in March!
