A Quiet Canoe Proposal for Haley and Byers
How Haley and Byers Met
Some love stories start in the most random places. For Haley and Byers, theirs started at a University of Alabama football game.
Funny enough, neither of them went to Alabama! They were both there because friends had invited them. They met that day, but they did not start dating right away. Instead, life took them in different directions. Then, two years later, they reconnected. This time, the timing was right. From there, the rest is history! Years later, Byers reached out to me because he was ready to ask Haley the biggest question of his life.
Planning the Proposal at Canoe
Planning a proposal takes some work. However, I love being part of that process!
Byers and I planned every detail of the proposal at Canoe. We talked through the timing, the location, and how we could make the moment feel special. Most importantly, we wanted Haley to have no idea what was coming.
Canoe is one of my favorite places for proposals in Atlanta. The property has beautiful gardens, the Chattahoochee River, and so many pretty spots for photos. Plus, it can feel very private. It has quickly become the most popular spot I shoot for proposals.
That was especially important for Haley and Byers. There was a wedding reception happening on the property that day. Even so, we were able to find a quiet spot away from the crowd.
The result was a quiet Canoe proposal that felt personal and full of meaning.
The Big Question
When the moment came, Byers was ready. Haley had no idea what was about to happen. Then, he asked her to marry him!
Of course, she said yes. The excitement and joy on their faces made the whole moment so much fun to capture. Even with a wedding reception nearby, the proposal felt like it belonged only to them. It was peaceful, sweet, and full of emotion. That is exactly what I love about a quiet Canoe proposal.
A Mini Engagement Session
After the proposal, we took a little time for a mini engagement session around the property.
This gave Haley and Byers a chance to slow down and enjoy the moment. Plus, we got some beautiful photos of them together right after getting engaged. Canoe gives couples so many great spots for photos. We were able to walk around, enjoy the scenery, and capture this exciting new season in their lives. Most of all, I loved that their session did not feel rushed. They could simply enjoy being engaged!
A Beautiful Atlanta Proposal
Haley and Byers’ story is such a fun reminder that timing can mean everything. They first met at a football game, went their separate ways, and then found their way back to each other two years later.
Now, they are planning a future together. And honestly, I cannot think of a better place for them to start this next chapter than Canoe.
Their quiet Canoe proposal was romantic, personal, and full of joy. It was also a perfect example of why I love photographing proposals. I get to help couples plan a moment they will remember forever, and then I get to capture it for them.
If you are thinking about a Canoe proposal in Atlanta, I would love to help you plan every detail and capture the moment you ask the big question.
