A Beautiful Wedding at The Waldorf Astoria Atlanta
Olivia and Michael’s wedding at The Waldorf Astoria Atlanta was full of joy, laughter, and so many sweet moments. From the start, I loved getting to know these two. I first met them during their engagement session, and I enjoyed every step of the journey leading up to their wedding day.
I also have an amazing photographer friend to thank for this wedding! She referred Olivia and Michael to me, and I am so glad she did. It is always special when another photographer refers couples to me when they are unable to shoot a wedding. Even better, I got to work with a couple who made the whole experience such a joy!
A Little Rain, a Lot of Joy
We had a little weather drama leading up to the wedding. Hurricane Isaias came through on Friday night and left some rain behind for the big day. Of course, wedding days do not always go as planned, but we made the most of it!
Thankfully, when it was time for portraits, we had a break in the rain. That meant we could head outside and capture some beautiful photos. We did their First Look and all of their wedding party and family formals out there. Originally they were unsure of a First Look, but I am SO GLAD they chose to do one. Had they not, none of the pictures we got outside would have happened as it started raining as soon as we went inside for the ceremony! I always love using the grounds around a venue for portraits, and we were lucky to have that chance.
The couple also moved their ceremony indoors because of the weather. However, the indoor space looked just as beautiful! The change did not take away from the magic of the day. Instead, Olivia and Michael had a lovely setting for their vows, surrounded by the people they love most.
Most of all, their wedding was full of smiles and laughter. Those are the moments I love to capture as a wedding photographer. The little glances, the happy tears, and the laughter with family and friends often become some of the most loved photos.

Plus, a luxury hotel makes it easy to bring many parts of the wedding together in one place. Guests can enjoy the beauty of the venue, and couples have a wonderful backdrop for photos throughout the day.
