A Summer Canoe Proposal | Grace and Joseph
Planning the Perfect Surprise
When Joseph first contacted me about proposing to Grace, I knew we were in for something special. He wanted a moment that felt private and personal, not rushed or crowded. Together, we worked out all the details. My favorite part was setting everything up before the restaurant even opened. With no one else around, they had the entire garden space to themselves for a summer Canoe proposal.
The Sweetest Shock
The gardens at Canoe sit right along the Chattahoochee River (yes, the same one in Allen Jackson’s song from the 90’s) located in Vinings, and that afternoon it was calm and quiet. Joseph led Grace down to the water’s edge, and then he dropped to one knee. Grace was so surprised. She could not believe it! Her shocked face was priceless, the kind of reaction every photographer hopes to capture. After the moment sank in, her expression turned into the biggest smile. She said yes, and you could feel the joy between them. She noticed me at one point and had just as big of a reaction!
Mini Engagement Session Fun
Right after, we stayed on the property for a mini engagement session. Canoe’s gardens, the iconic blue bridge, and the river views gave us endless backdrops. Grace and Joseph laughed, hugged, and soaked in their newly engaged glow. Since the restaurant was still closed, they enjoyed every second without distractions. A summer Canoe proposal always shines with romance and charm, and theirs was no exception.
Why Canoe is Perfect for Proposals
Canoe is more than just an amazing restaurant. It’s one of the most beautiful proposal spots in Atlanta. Between the peaceful gardens and the river views, it feels both romantic and private. For Grace and Joseph, it was the perfect place to start their forever. If you’re dreaming of a moment that’s full of love and a little surprise, a summer Canoe proposal might be just what you’re looking for. Thank you to Joseph and Grace for having me be a part of this sweet moment!
