Riverside Park and Roswell Mill | Roswell, GA

Dwann and Jacob met with Ben and me last December for the first time, and I knew immediately that I liked them. We had such a great time meeting in my home for our consult. We talked about our boys that are close in age, how they met and got engaged, and our love for NFL football.

We had a rather interesting start to their engagement session! Our plan had been to take pictures at Riverside Park in Roswell. Jacob met us there and was dressed to the nine’s for their session. Dwann got there shortly after and got out of her car, saw Jacob, and immediately said, “OH NO! I forgot my dress!!!” Poor Dwann had a stressful afternoon and just forgot her dress for their engagement session. I told her not to worry! I would take care of them and we would get pictures of them in her cute dress!

Their wedding is coming up in March and we needed to sit down and figure out their wedding day timeline, so I told them if we could meet soon for that, then we could do half their engagement pictures at Riverside Park and then do the second half the day we did their pre-wedding consult. We took some awesome sunset pictures at Riverside Park and had a great time and planned for the second half later.

The Chattahoochee River is right next to Riverside Park, and recently, it has been flooded due to the rain we have had. We walked along some of the paths to take pictures and even used the flooded river to our advantage. A portion of the path has been flooded for weeks, so we took a ton of pictures at this spot. I loved it! After the session, we talked and decided to meet on Tuesday for the second part!

All day Tuesday it snowed on and off- big chunky flakes that would make for some AWESOME pictures. I was so excited and so were Dwann and Jacob. Sadly, however, it stopped snowing right before their session started! At least I did get a good shot of her engagement ring in the snow! Dwann was a trooper in her dress in the freezing weather! We had such a great time at both of their sessions!

If you look closely in this picture, you can see how close the water has come to the path! Where you see the water is where there is normally a running path. This is directly under hwy 9 in Roswell. As much as I have hated it being flooded as a runner who goes by there often, I loved it for these pictures!
So sweet! I love it! Jacob is keeping Dwann warm at their very cold second half of their engagement pictures! LOVE this ring shot! See the snow on the bridge? 🙂
