Time for yet another gorgeous wedding at The Greystone Estate wedding venue! Y’all, I cannot tell you how much I LOVE shooting here! I feel truly blessed to get to be up at this amazing wedding venue multiple times a year. Sara and Marc found me because I’m a preferred vendor at The Greystone Estate wedding venue, which is how a lot of my dear brides find me to shoot here.
I met with Sara and Marc for the first time for their amazing Lake Lanier engagement session early September and had a blast getting to know them! We talked about their intimate wedding plans including no wedding party and discussed whether or not they wanted a First Look, which they decided that they did! YAY! I got to know Sara’s genuine smile and laughter at their engagement session which carried over to their wedding day.
The Greystone Estate wedding venue is a perfect place to get married! I have been shooting here since they opened in 2016 and they recently debuted their new outdoor, open-air chapel. Sara and Marc’s wedding was the first one I got to shoot at this new spot! I loved it! It’s such an added value to the venue and a perfect place to get married! I cannot wait to continue to shoot ceremonies here at The Greystone Estate wedding venue.
Sara and Marc’s day had a lot of firsts for me: 1) first wedding where there wasn’t a wedding party, 2) first wedding where the First Look included a butt grab, 3) the groom whooped when the bride came down the aisle, 4) first reception exit with a private sparkler moment. Their day was so much fun! In my 14 years of shooting, I had never shot a wedding with no wedding party, and can I tell you how peaceful and chill it was when I walked into the bridal suite for Sara’s getting ready pictures? I could see the appeal to this. No stress, quiet and relaxed with just the hair/makeup artist and me in there. It was nice! Sara and Marc have had a running joke throughout their relationship having to do with playful butt grabs, so Sara had to make that happen for their First Look. It cracked me up- that was definitely a first. And while I’ve had a lot of tearful grooms and smiling grooms, I’ve never had a whooping groom! It was so cute to hear Marc get excited as Sara came down the aisle to him to become his wife.
Sara and Marc had a sparkler exit planned, but not for two hours after my coverage ended for the evening, so I came up with the fun idea of having us sneak outside before I left for a couple of sparkler pictures just the two of them. I am SO happy with how these images turned out! It makes me want to do this with all of my couples before their sparkler exits now! I might just do it!
Congratulations to Sara and Marc at their Greystone Estate wedding venue. I am so thankful I got to be a part of you day!!
I loved all of Sara’s bridal details! Marc’s Dad passed away a few years ago, so they engraved his parents initials and wedding year inside of Marc’s ring. It brought me to tears! Mom helping Sara into her dress! Sweet moment with Grandma helping her put on her heirloom bracelet. Private First Look with Dad! The tears say it all!Now time for the butt-grab First Look with Marc! hahaha I can’t stop giggling at their faces! I just love it!! Epic veil toss by Ashley, the amazing venue coordinator! YES! I love a long veil!! Sara was stunning!! Butterflies in the hair! I love it! Ceremony time! Whoop whoop! A few more sunset portraits before going into the reception! Sweet Grandpa wanted his own First Dance with Sara! Lots and lots of fun toast pictures! Sweet Father-Daughter Dance with Sara’s Dad Lots of laughter and smiles for this Father-Daughter dance! End of the night private sparkler send-off! Yep! I love it!
