Time for yet another gorgeous wedding at The Greystone Estate wedding venue! Y’all, I cannot tell you how much I LOVE shooting here! I feel truly blessed to get to be up at this amazing wedding venue multiple times a year. Sara and Marc found me because I’m a preferred vendor at The Greystone Estate wedding venue, which is how a lot of my dear brides find me to shoot here.

I met with Sara and Marc for the first time for their amazing Lake Lanier engagement session early September and had a blast getting to know them! We talked about their intimate wedding plans including no wedding party and discussed whether or not they wanted a First Look, which they decided that they did! YAY! I got to know Sara’s genuine smile and laughter at their engagement session which carried over to their wedding day.

The Greystone Estate wedding venue is a perfect place to get married! I have been shooting here since they opened in 2016 and they recently debuted their new outdoor, open-air chapel. Sara and Marc’s wedding was the first one I got to shoot at this new spot! I loved it! It’s such an added value to the venue and a perfect place to get married! I cannot wait to continue to shoot ceremonies here at The Greystone Estate wedding venue.

Sara and Marc’s day had a lot of firsts for me: 1) first wedding where there wasn’t a wedding party, 2) first wedding where the First Look included a butt grab, 3) the groom whooped when the bride came down the aisle, 4) first reception exit with a private sparkler moment. Their day was so much fun! In my 14 years of shooting, I had never shot a wedding with no wedding party, and can I tell you how peaceful and chill it was when I walked into the bridal suite for Sara’s getting ready pictures? I could see the appeal to this. No stress, quiet and relaxed with just the hair/makeup artist and me in there. It was nice! Sara and Marc have had a running joke throughout their relationship having to do with playful butt grabs, so Sara had to make that happen for their First Look. It cracked me up- that was definitely a first. And while I’ve had a lot of tearful grooms and smiling grooms, I’ve never had a whooping groom! It was so cute to hear Marc get excited as Sara came down the aisle to him to become his wife.

Sara and Marc had a sparkler exit planned, but not for two hours after my coverage ended for the evening, so I came up with the fun idea of having us sneak outside before I left for a couple of sparkler pictures just the two of them. I am SO happy with how these images turned out! It makes me want to do this with all of my couples before their sparkler exits now! I might just do it!

Congratulations to Sara and Marc at their Greystone Estate wedding venue. I am so thankful I got to be a part of you day!!
