Piedmont Park Engagement Session | Atlanta, GA
I met Katie back in February of this year at a venue show on a very rainy day. She and two of her good friends were at the show with her and we immediately hit it off. I loved talking to all three ladies, and of course, especially Katie. I knew when she left the venue show that I would be hearing back from her! We spent the next month or so emailing back and forth as she was trying to figure out her wedding venue. I sent her some recommendations and ideas; I was so excited when I heard she and Dylan decided on Little River Farms! Fun little known fact: I shot the very first wedding at Little River Farms (with the exception of the owners themselves getting married there). This venue has blown up and is a favorite in Milton! I can’t wait to get back there in December!
Katie and Dylan met me for their Piedmont Park engagement session. We had the best time getting to know each other and hang out while taking pictures. I love Katie’s big and fun personality. She balances out Dylan’s quiet demeanor. They remind me some of Joshua and me in their personalities.
Every time I go for a Piedmont Park engagement session, I try and challenge myself to take pictures at a new location. I’m there all of the time and could find myself taking the same pictures over and over and not being creative, so I work hard to get a new shot every time I’m there. It’s getting harder and harder each time I go! The pictures at the end of the post are from an angle and spot I’ve never done before. I was super excited with how they turned out. Dylan said something to Katie during that time that made her laugh hysterically. I said as long as he didn’t tell her he hated me/taking pictures with me, I didn’t care what he said! 🙂
I can’t wait for their December wedding! They almost get to share an anniversary with my birthday. My birthday is December 26th and they are getting married on the 27th. We are going to have a blast!
Beautiful Katie! I wonder what Dylan said to Katie to make her laugh this much! Sunset silhouette time!
how sweet are they! i love the location they chose and the silhouette shot is my favourite!
Yes! The silhouette shot at Piedmont Park is a classic one that all of my couples want when we shoot there! Perfect for the backdrop of Atlanta in the background!
great engagement photos, the location is awesome! I love her red outfit, did she mention where she got it? 🙂
Thanks! Piedmont Park engagements are some of my most popular. It’s a big park in the middle of Atlanta, kind of like Central Park is to NYC (just not as big!).
