Koury Farms | Auburn, GA | November 19, 2017

Last weekend, I had the pleasure to take pictures at the gorgeous new venue, Koury Farms, for Kim and Chad. I met these two in the spring and did their engagement pictures shortly after that. I immediately loved getting to talk with them and hear that she’s a high school math teacher and Chad is a firefighter; and that’s really how they met. Kim has a family of firefighters- her Dad is a retired firefighter, her brother, sister-in-law, and cousin’s husband are all fire fighters as well. Chad is a firefighter as well as his Dad and brother. Chad worked with Kim’s cousin’s husband. Kim’s sister in law worked with Chad’s dad. You still following this?? Well, everyone pretty much talked Kim up to Chad, so he had no choice but to contact Kim and ask her out on date. They told me that they wanted a fire fighter picture with all of their friends who were coming to the wedding. I had no idea it was going to be nearly 30 people! Who was at the station that day?? Haha! Oh and the caterer is a fireman as well!

When we found out about our adoption, I was happy to realize that Abigail’s due date was two weeks before their wedding and that I would still be able to make it to their wedding; and I am so glad! I had the best time getting to know them in the process and get to be a part of their special day. These two had so much laughter and smiles from their day.

Kim did such an amazing job with all of the fun details of the day. She put so much work into all of the center pieces to the signs to the cute coffee bar for the guests. I love it all. But another fun detail of the wedding was their super hero theme for the groomsmen and flower girls/ring bearers. Chad got all of the guys socks for different super heroes, but even better were the cufflinks that matched their socks. Super heroes ranged from Superman to Thor to Ironman to The Flash and more! They had 10 children as flower girls and ring bearers, so instead of having each of their parents pay $100+ on dresses and suits they wouldn’t wear again, they told the parents to let the kids wear princess and super hero costumes. I thought it was so cute and fun; and it played perfectly into the super hero theme!

Congrats Kim and Chad! Thanks so much for allowing Evie, Erin, and I to be a part of your special day. We loved getting to capture it for you!

Chad made this sweet jar for their proposal on the left. He made another one for her wedding day and gave it to her the day before their wedding with the second band in it. She was very surprised!  Love their First Look moment!  After the ceremony, we went outside at sunset for a handful of pictures  Funny reactions from the Shoe Game

Thanks to all of the awesome vendors who made their day so great!
