This past weekend for Meredith and Seth’s Brasstown Valley Resort wedding was a dream! From the gorgeous venue to the view with the mountains to the amazing fall colors, this wedding was gorgeous! I would shoot a wedding at Brasstown Valley Resort a couple times a year if I could! And y’all, it snowed! It wasn’t a lot and it didn’t stick, but sure enough, it was snowing! I was afraid the clouds were going to be too thick to be able to see the mountains in the distance, but we got lucky! The cold, not so much. It was FREEZING! The temperature was in the mid 30’s and the wind was so strong that it had to have felt like it was in the teens; and Meredith just rocked it out! You could not tell how cold it was from looking at her pictures! She was a trooper for sure!
Meredith contacted me shortly after Christmas last year about her wedding to Seth. I shot their engagement pictures in February and I just LOVED getting to know them then! Come to find out, she and Seth both went to Berry College, same as me! When we found out about our adoption, I called Meredith to let her know that our due date for the baby was three days after her wedding. I gave her the option of having me help find her a new photographer or stick with me and I have a backup (Ben and Evie go without me) in case I couldn’t make it. She and Seth trusted my team and me enough to stick with me knowing I might not be there. I’m so glad they did! I would have been so sad to miss out on this amazing Brasstown Valley Resort wedding.
I LOVE their love story so much! Meredith had decided to take a year from dating and shortly after that met Seth. While she liked him and he liked her, she really knew she needed that time to focus on the Lord and not date. She told him she would be open to going on a date in February of the following year. Well, Seth waited for Meredith until she was ready. He called her on February 1st and asked her out and the rest is history! Another sweet part of their love story is while this was their original wedding date, the two of them decided back in March that they didn’t want to wait any longer to say their “I do’s” so they went up to Berry one day with their parents and had a very intimate ceremony in which Seth’s dad performed and they got married! So this ceremony was more of a celebration of their marriage for the past 7 months! Meredith and Seth are my second couple this year to do this! I love it!
Meredith had a lot of sweet family details in her day. Her diamond came from her grandmother’s ring. Meredith’s grandmother was a big part of her life and passed away a few years ago. She was a HUGE golfer and the fact that we were getting married on a gold course made Meredith feel like she was there with them on their day. Her handkerchief is her something blue and was her great great-grandmother’s.
Thank you Meredith and Seth for having Ben and me be a part of your special Brasstown Valley Resort wedding and celebration. I love seeing Jesus in your relationship and know that you will do some amazing things together! I can’t wait to hear about your cruise in a few weeks!
Setting up and practicing with the photo booth! Meredith and Kiersten working hard to get that champaign open! Seth opening up his awesome gift from Meredith Time for their First Look! I love it! Meredith and Seth wrote their vows to each other and read them to each other privately in this sweet moment. This is one of my favorite things my couples sometimes do at their First Looks. It is so sweet and intimate! I absolutely love it! Seth working hard to keep Meredith warm midst the cold pictures “Hey Meredith! How about you eat your shoulder?” (And can we note the goosebumps on her arm? She was amazing!) Seth embracing the cold! HAHA! I just love this shot! The one good thing about the cold is no one was on the golf course that day! This Brasstown Valley Resort wedding venue did not disappoint! Snuggle up not for a cute picture, but because it is cold!! Look at those fall colors! I love everything about this Brasstown Valley Resort wedding! Blankets for the guests! The original plan had been to be outside where they did their First Look, but it was just too cold to make that a reality; but they still brought these sweet favors for the guests to use at the ceremony! We had some time after the ceremony for a handful of pictures. I’m so glad we did! Since their wedding was two days before Halloween, they brought these cute fox masks to wear. We took some pictures with them as well! I loved it! One thing I love about having Ben work with me, is he pays attention to what I do and does the opposite. This is something special in a second shooter. What I mean is in this picture below, I was taking a close up of them; and if you look at the picture below in black and white, Ben was standing far away from a different angle, getting a wide shot of the same thing I was getting close up! Meredith and her Dad had a sweet Father-Daughter dance until one of them said something and then the two of them just broke out laughing hysterically and they couldn’t stop until the end of the dance! It was the cutest thing ever! This is the best picture ever! Kiersten and Krista were having tons of fun with their flowy bridesmaids dresses!
Thanks to all of the awesome vendors who helped make Meredith and Seth’s wedding amazing!
