I love participating in bridal shows. I love talking with new people, sharing my business model, and just getting to celebrate with girls in their engagement! I love the clients and the relationships I have developed over the years thanks to these shows. I have so many clients that I wouldn’t have met if I hadn’t participated; but more importantly, I wouldn’t have many of the friendships I have today if I hadn’t participated.
I look back to my old booths at the Georgia Bridal Show over the years and cannot believe the changes I’ve made over the years. I honestly wonder why some girls chose to book me with how small and “dinky” my booth looked like compared to some of the others one out there. I am so thankful to those past brides who stopped by my booths, gave me a chance, and booked me to shoot their wedding.
I am so happy with the progression of my booths over the years; and after years of growth and change, I think I finally found a booth that I am proud of and will keep for a while. Already, I have done two shows this year and plan on doing another few more before the end of the spring season.
Awe… look at my little booth in 2011. That little rug looks so pitiful! I took my computer to display a slideshow, but didn’t pay for electricity for my booth; so once the battery died on my computer, I just put it away! I had no concept of a brand and having consistency with my logo and booth.
My changes in my 2012 booth included the tri-panel to hold up a lot of my pictures, a bigger rug (no more pitiful rug!), and a canvas. Oh and this year, I purchased electricity for my booth and had my slideshow running the whole time. I loved this unique and cheaper way to display my pictures. It definitely did a good job for what I could do at the time living in our apartment.
My 2013 booth added a 32″ TV to display my slideshow pictures. I don’t actually have a picture of my 2014 booth, but it’s pretty much the same. (And those pink lights aren’t mine. They are from the booth behind me.)
I just loved the addition of the television!
Over the years, I had my past brides help me out at my booth. There was no way I could do it on my own! They were always such a HUGE help! In 2013, I had Jenni and Angela help me out. I love these two ladies so much! I talked to both of them this week, in fact!
This was my booth at the Cobb how earlier in January. As you might already have seen, I made BIG changes from then until my booth last week. (Sorry for the crappy iPhone pic!)And finally… my new booth! I am just beyond excited and proud of the changes I made to it. I cannot believe the changes from my first booth in 2011 to now!
Love this post! What an awesome transformation. Shows what some time and learning experience can do! Thanks! I enjoyed this.
Thanks Leanne! I am excited about how far I’ve come over the years. It’s amazing how far we can come with growth!
We all start somewhere and it is where you are now or going that matters. I love that you captured this and were willing to share it! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much Lindy! Part of me is kind of embarrassed with how “dinky” my old booth looked like, but the other part of me is really proud with how far I’ve come and how much work it’s taken to get to this point! We all start somewhere!
This is so great to see the growth and confidence in your brand! Can I ask what your “wall” is made of? I currently have a set of three doors hinged together but I love how seamless this is 🙂

Hey Kerensa! I will be posting a blog post next week about this! Sign up for my blog updates and you’ll be able to see how I made it! It was SUPER easy!
They are hollow doors. I used three doors and then mostly covered the seams when displaying it!

You’ve come a long way, baby! (In case you don’t understand the reference, it was a slogan used in Virginia Slims cigarette ads, way back when they allowed cigarette ads on t.v.
Yeah, Sean. I’m a little too young to get the reference! But thanks! I appreciate the encouragement! 🙂
