Marlow and Gracie’s Oak Hill Lawn Proposal
A Plan Months in the Making
Marlow reached out to me with a clear goal. He wanted to propose to Gracie at Oak Hill Lawn in Piedmont Park. He loved the open view of the city and the quiet feel of the space. Oak Hill Lawn gave him both. We talked through every detail. We picked the exact spot for his Oak Hill Lawn proposal. We planned where I would stand so Gracie would not see me. Marlow cared about every part of this moment. He wanted it to feel calm, sweet, and true to them. On the day of the proposal, he led Gracie across Piedmont Park like it was any other walk for a picnic just the two of them. She had no idea what was about to happen.
The Big Moment at Oak Hill Lawn
They reached the spot for their Oak Hill Lawn proposal for a fun picnic- Gracie completely clueless about what was to come. I showed up about 30 minutes into their picnic and sat quietly behind them waiting for the moment. Marlow stood up and took Gracie’s hands. He looked at her and smiled. Then he dropped to one knee. Gracie froze for a second. Then her hands flew to her face. She started to cry and laugh at the same time. She said yes before he even finished his words. Gracie couldn’t stop laughing! You’ll see the joy and laughter in her face as she takes in the moments after.
A Mini Engagement Session Around Piedmont Park
After the hugs and happy tears, we moved into a mini engagement session. They felt light and full of joy. The nerves were gone. Now they could just be together. We walked through Piedmont Park and stopped at a few favorite spots. They held hands and laughed the whole time. Marlow kept looking at Gracie like he could not believe she said yes. Gracie kept staring at her ring and then back at him. We took photos with the skyline in the back. We found tree-lined paths and soft green space. Each spot showed a new side of their story.
The Sweetest Start
Marlow and Gracie chose a place that means so much to Atlanta. Oak Hill Lawn gave them a view, a quiet corner, and a moment they will never forget. I feel so honored that Marlow trusted me to help plan it. I love when couples invite me into such a big day. Their story started a new chapter right there on Oak Hill Lawn, and I cannot wait to see where it leads them next.
