A Perfect Spring Canoe Proposal for Sean and Hannah
How Their Story Began
Sean and Hannah share one of those stories that feels meant to be. They went to high school together but never crossed paths. Years later, mutual friends brought them together after college. This time, everything clicked. Their connection grew fast, and it felt natural from the start. Sean knew Hannah was the one. He wanted a proposal that felt thoughtful and calm. He also wanted a setting that matched their story, beautiful, relaxed, and full of charm. A spring Canoe proposal was going to be it!
Planning the Perfect Moment
Sean reached out to me, and we got right to work. My favorite part of the whole planning process was he picked his date to propose around MY availability! Once he found me, he knew he wanted me to shoot his proposal to Hannah, so he picked his date based on when I could do it for him. It’s moments like these that make me truly grateful for what I do. Like, seriously grateful!!
We planned every detail together. I sent him a few location ideas around Canoe, one of my favorite spots to shoot. The gardens stay clean and lush all year. The Chattahoochee River adds a soft, peaceful backdrop you just can’t beat. He picked a quiet spot in the garden with the best light. It gave them privacy while still showing off the beauty of the space. A spring Canoe proposal always feels special, and this one had all the right pieces.
The Proposal
The weather showed up for us in the best way. Soft light filled the garden, and a gentle breeze moved through the trees. It was randomly cool on this late April day, but it was perfect! I’ll take that over a hot and muggy April evening! Everything felt calm and easy. Sean walked Hannah to the spot we chose. She had no idea what was coming. He took a moment, then got down on one knee. Her reaction said it all—pure joy and surprise. It felt real and full of emotion.

A Sweet Time After
After she said yes, we walked around the property for a mini session. Canoe gives so many great backdrops in a short distance. The garden paths, the open lawn, and the river all worked together.Sean and Hannah laughed the whole time. They stayed close, soaking in every second. That joy shows in every photo.
