Atlanta Botanical Garden Proposal | Karen and Ryan

I am shooting yet another Atlanta Botanical Garden proposal next week and it made me think back to Karen and Ryan’s proposal last summer! I went and looked back and saw that I never actually blogged their proposal! I blame 2020 for my lack of blogging and forgetting things like this! haha! I love shooting proposals, so I am surprised I never posted this Atlanta Botanical Garden proposal.

Their proposal was so much fun! Ryan contacted me for their Atlanta Botanical Garden proposal as it was a part of their first date together. He wanted to pick a location that was special to them and tied in their first moments together as a couple. He went all out! He reserved a private part of the gardens just for the two of them. I was super impressed with his planning. He had all of her family and his family there waiting for after the moment.

Once Ryan asked Karen and she said an enthusiastic YES, we went around the gardens for a mini engagement session. I always do these with my couples, but it also provided an opportunity for their families to sneak into the private area where they had just gotten engaged and be there when they came back.

So Karen got a double surprise that day! She got to say yes to her Atlanta Botanical Garden proposal and then was surprised to see her dear family and friends waiting for them when they came back up! It was such a fun celebration between Karen and Ryan and their family and friends. I really enjoyed getting to be a part of their sweet moment. I can’t wait to go back again this next week to do it again!
