Jared reached out a little over a month ago via the help of his awesome mother to plan his Atlanta rooftop proposal to Mady. She found me on Instagram and connected Jared and me to begin planning his Atlanta rooftop proposal. Jared and I schemed for the next weeks to plan out the perfect Atlanta rooftop proposal and settled on Ventanas.
It was a little crazy the day of with the Cheersport competition going on, making parking near impossible for the Ventanas lot, and I had a little trouble initially getting up the elevator for the venue; but we made it all work and I was there with plenty of time before they showed up! (Big reason why I show up 20-30 minutes before the couple!)
I told Jared that the rooftop was a helipad on the hotel, so there was nowhere for me to hide. We planned for me to be up there taking pictures and pretend that I was scoping out the location for a “wedding I was shooting there next week,” so when they showed up, I saw them and told them to ignore me and that I was about to be done. I even took an iPhone picture for them so they could have a “picture to remember the moment and the view.” Little did Mady know, we were all there for their Atlanta rooftop proposal. She had NO clue!
I stepped back and “took pictures of the city” and a few minutes later, Jared got down on one knee and asked Mady to marry him. You’ll see her shock in her reaction in the pictures. It was perfect! We pulled it off!
We spent a little more time at the rooftop doing a mini engagement session and taking advantage of the gorgeous view and cityscape. Ventanas had a bottle of champaign downstairs ready for them, so we went downstairs and I captured their moment of champaign and celebration. We took some pictures downstairs before I headed out, giving them time for the two of them to celebrate and call their families.
