Caroline and Cory’s Duck Pond proposal was nothing short of magical. These two met at Auburn University, where their love story began. They realized quickly that they grew up near each other and had common friends, so it wasn’t a surprise that they connected at Auburn. Years later, Cory knew he wanted to make this moment unforgettable. They sometimes will go over to the Duck Pond for a picnic and walk, so he knew this spot would be perfect for their proposal. He reached out to me, and together, we planned every detail.
The Duck Pond in the Buckhead area was the perfect spot. With its peaceful water, charming bridges, and stunning spring blooms, it set the scene for a romantic proposal. On the big day, Cory led Caroline to a quiet area near the water. As they walked, she had no idea what was about to happen… well maybe slightly; but she definitely didn’t know I was there to capture the moment! He dropped to one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever.
Caroline’s reaction was pure joy. She said yes, of course! The love between them was easy to see. After a few moments to soak it all in, we talked about the planning that went into the proposal, including Caroline’s co-workers in order to make sure she was off work in time for the proposal! Afterwards, we did a mini engagement session. The spring colors made the perfect backdrop as they laughed, hugged, and celebrated their new engagement.
Walking around the Duck Pond, we captured every sweet moment. Cory and Caroline were glowing, completely lost in their happiness. From the soft pink blossoms to the reflections on the water, every photo told their love story. This Duck Pond proposal was a dream to photograph, filled with love, nature, and a perfect springtime setting.
