Solomon & Riley’s Ray’s on the River Proposal
Solomon and Riley’s love story began at La Salle University in Philadelphia. They met in college and started dating during their sophomore year. While she is from Connecticut and he is from St. Louis, their love story brought them together in Philly and then down to Atlanta after college for their jobs. Years later, Solomon knew he wanted to take the next step. He reached out to me, and we planned a perfect Ray’s on the River proposal and on Riley’s birthday!
This was my first time at Ray’s on the River, but I’m no stranger to capturing proposals along the Chattahoochee River. I do them a lot of Canoe proposals in Vinings which is also along the river, making the perfect backdrop for a proposal. The setting was ideal—peaceful, romantic, and full of charm. Solomon and I went over every detail to make sure the moment was just right.
On the big day, I got there early to “wait in plain sight” as I sat on a bench near the spot. Solomon led Riley to a beautiful spot by the water. I always love stealthily snagging a few pictures before the moment! As they took in the view, he dropped to one knee. Riley’s reaction was pure joy. She said yes, and they shared a moment they’ll never forget. Best birthday ever!
After the proposal, we explored the property for a mini engagement session. The gardens, river views, and elegant atmosphere gave us plenty of stunning backdrops. Solomon and Riley couldn’t stop smiling, and their happiness showed in every photo.
Capturing this Ray’s on the River proposal was a joy. Every love story is special, but there’s something magical about seeing two people take this next step. Congratulations to Solomon and Riley!
