The Best Start
Salik and Fati’s love story began with a swipe. They met on Hinge and quickly hit it off. From their very first messages, something just clicked. You could tell this connection was special. Fati lived in the Old Fourth Ward district of the city, so they had their first date there. Salik was immediately in love with not only Fati, but Old Fourth Ward; so much so that he moved himself to the same apartment complex months later and has been there ever since! Salik knew an Old Fourth Ward engagement was exactly what he wanted since so much of their relationship was focused on this amazing area of Atlanta.
Planning the Perfect Old Fourth Ward Engagement
Salik reached out with a plan—he wanted to propose to Fati in a way she’d never forget. We worked together to make every detail count. He even brought in The Heart Bandits to create a dreamy bubble tent setup at Old Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta. The setup was magical. Soft lights, cozy pillows, and the quiet buzz of spring filled the air. Everything was ready. Fati arrived thinking they were just going for a walk. Then she saw the tent. They approached and Fati was smiling, laughing, and crying all at once. He had a sweet photo album along with framed notes around the tent. They spent time reading through each note and looking through the album together. Before he even asked her, she emphatically said, “we did it!” THEN Salik dropped to one knee. She said yes!
A Surprise After the Surprise
Just when Fati thought the day couldn’t get better, both of their families appeared. Fati was almost as surprised about this part of the proposal as she was about the actual proposal. The joy on her face said it all. Hugs, tears, and laughter followed. It turned the moment into a shared memory for everyone. Everyone loved looking through the tent to see all of the personal touches that Salik included. Everyone agreed that The Heart Bandits and Flower Paradise did an amazing job!
Capturing Their Old Fourth Ward Engagement
After the big moment, we wandered through the park and around the Beltline for a mini engagement session. The trees were lush, the weather perfect, and their happiness lit up every photo. Old Fourth Ward Park gave us the perfect mix of nature and city vibes. I can see why they love living over there so much! If I had to live inside the perimeter, Old Fourth Ward would be it! This Old Fourth Ward engagement was one for the books. From the proposal to the family reveal and photos, everything came together beautifully. It reminded me why I love capturing these milestones.
