I have been shooting at Piedmont Park since the beginning of my career 16 years ago. It’s a popular spot for engagement and family sessions. More recently, I have shot a number of proposals there. This proposal with Justin and Alysha was done at the most popular Piedmont Park proposal location (in my opinion). It’s a beautiful spot with the city in the background when you get get the right angle, so I know why it’s the highly sought after Piedmont Park proposal location.
This spot is often used for engagement sessions, elopements, and of course… proposals. We lucked out and were able to hit up this spot on a day when it was wide open. I told Justin ahead of time that we would have to be flexible and might need to pivot on timing if someone else was using the spot when I showed up. I had a couple of people there when I first showed up, but they left quickly. Another group showed up and they were there right before my couple was supposed to show up, so I gave them the insider information about the up-and-coming proposal and they cheered and gladly stepped off so Justin and Alysha could show up to this amazing Piedmont Park proposal location.
Alysha had no idea Justin was about to propose when they got here. I was able to step back and use my long lens to capture some sweet pictures of their moment! I love getting to be sneaky and capture the moment! Thanks for having me!
