Proposal at Piedmont Park | Andrew and Regan

Andrew contacted me for his proposal at Piedmont Park to his (at the time) girlfriend, Regan and I knew immediately that we would have so much fun doing their proposal together! I love doing a proposal at Piedmont Park, so I was excited about this opportunity to shoot Andrew and Regan’s proposal!

I have done a handful of these at the park before, so when Andrew came up with the idea of a completely different location than I have done in the past, I was super excited to make it happen. It was a great spot to see the city in the background, wasn’t very crowded like some of the other locations, and was an easy spot for me to see them approaching and for me to take their pictures.

The day couldn’t have gone more perfectly for their proposal at Piedmont Park! Funny story, though- I like to get to proposals about 30 minutes ahead of time to make sure that I am where I need to be and not running late. On my way to the proposal to wait around, I was a sweet and intimate elopement. I noticed there wasn’t a photographer, so I came up to the sister of the bride and asked if they would like me to take pictures for them. She ecstatically said yes and I captured about 5 minutes of pictures for them. They were so sweet to offer to pay me some for them and I delivered the images later that week.

I made my way over to Andrew and Regan’s spot for their proposal at Piedmont Park and waited for them to show up. They showed up a little while later and I immediately began snapping images. It was such a sweet proposal to capture! Andrew got on one knee and asked Regan if she’d marry him and she of course said YES! They spent some time afterwards praying together which I found to be the sweetest moment!

I revealed myself after they were done. Regan was surprised to say the least that Andrew had hired a photographer for their proposal at Piedmont Park! We went around Piedmont Park after the proposal for a mini engagement session. I love getting to do these mini sessions after the proposals. There is so much happiness and joy in their pictures!

I love getting to do these proposals throughout Atlanta! I feel so blessed to get to capture these once-in-a-lifetime memories for my couples and help the guys plan these fun surprises for their girlfriends.
