The Greystone Estate Wedding Venue | Claire and Jared

The Greystone Estate | January 1, 2022| Ball Ground, GA

Time for me to head back to The Greystone Estate wedding venue in Ball Ground! I hope my regular followers love seeing this venue, because I’ll be there a handful times in 2022! I love being a preferred vendor for The Greystone Estate wedding venue; but funny enough, this is not how Claire and Jared found me to book their wedding! I shot Jared’s brother’s wedding November 2020 and I got to meet Claire and Jared at the wedding! When Claire booked their wedding at The Greystone Estate wedding venue, she already had contacted me to shoot her wedding, but then saw my name on the preferred vendor list and that just sealed the deal! I have shot a couple of sister-sister weddings before, but I haven’t had the chance to do a brother-brother wedding before. I love that I got to see the Millers again! They are such an amazing family, so it was so much fun to get to hang out with them again!

Claire and Jared’s wedding at The Greystone Estate wedding venue was my second of the weekend. They got married on New Years Day, and I had just shot a wedding the night prior on New Years Eve. It was a fun set of two days! Earlier in the week it called for rain on both wedding days, and you’ll see in their pictures that it was a gorgeous sunny day! Claire and Jared had a 2 minute downpour with sunshine right before their First Look was supposed to happen and just a small little sprinkle at the end of their First Look, but beyond that, it was a sunny and gorgeous day! You’ll see the clouds in the sky are gorgeous on their day! We could not have had better weather for their wedding! I’m so happy with how their pictures turned out!

Here’s a fun little piece of family history and how close Claire is with her grandmother: Claire’s engagement ring and band are made out of her grandmother’s ring that she wore for 56 years. Claire told me she is honored to wear it similar to the way she did. Not only did she get this amazing family heirloom item, but her grandmother was her flower girl! She said that have been very close all of her life, so having her as her “flower girl” was perfect! Make sure you look for that picture in the post!

The week leading up to their wedding, Evie got sick and was unable to shoot with me, so I called and texted to a handful of my photographer friends to see if anyone could shoot one or both of my weddings that weekend with me. Ben, my amazing former second shooter was available for Claire and Jared’s wedding. He stepped up and helped me out BIG time, so THANK YOU Ben for your help and serving Claire and Jared as if they were your couple. I know they felt loved and appreciated by my team. Congratulations Claire and Jared! Thanks so much for having us at your wedding. Love you both! I hope you love these pictures as much as I do!

Amazing rings! I love a family heirloom! Claire and Jared had reception Converse shoes. Claire had her new last name and date stitched into her shoes! Grandparents who were there in heart and spirit. Sweet moment with Margo (mother-in-law) and Claire. First Look with Dad and brother, Trent. Time to see Jared and their First Look together! Why I love having two of us there! We got both angles of their moment! Claire and Jared opted for a private exchange of vows. Ben and I stepped back to give them some space and allow us to take pictures while they had a quiet moment just them. It started raining at the end of their First Look, so we headed back; but by the time we got to the building, it stopped! (Great shot, Ben!) I mean, look at that sky!! I LOVE this shot! All of the sister-in-laws rings who married the 4 Miller brothers! Brothers on the left and their wives on the right. Sweet moment with MamaGrandma “flower girl!” Claire and Jared’s neighbor made their cake topper as a wedding gift! Claire’s sister was NOT giving up that bouquet! Claire caught the bouquet at Nate and Taylor’s wedding I shot and had a similar “give me the flowers” moment with another girl! Kinsey wasn’t giving up those flowers! haha End of the night sparkler kiss!
