Roswell Mill Proposal | Roswell Mill | Roswell, GA
David contacted me two weeks ago for his proposal to Jakleen. I loved talking to him about his plans to propose to her. He lives in New Jersey full time, so he found me by Googling from up there. He wanted to do it at the Roswell Mill, but having never visited the mill before, he wasn’t sure where to do the actual proposal. Well, lucky for him, I practically live at the mill for pictures, so I immediately knew which spot would be an awesome one for the proposal.
I told him I could go on my own and walk the trail and take pictures and send it to him so he could have an idea of where to go for the proposal or go with me on the trail. He wasn’t coming in town until Friday to surprise Jakleen, but was able to come and meet me on Friday to check out the location.
I got to hear about how they met years ago and stayed in touch as friends, but really reconnected back in October at a conference and from there started dating. They have been dating long distance ever since and David was ready to marry the woman the Lord has planned for him! I couldn’t help but smile the whole time as I heard their sweet story.
We picked the spot and planned for Saturday afternoon for the proposal. I got there a little early to be ready and scope out the spot to make sure there wasn’t anyone in the way. I had to ask a few people if they wouldn’t mind scooting out of the way, but once I said “I have a couple about to get engaged,” they were accommodating. The thing I love about the Roswell Mill is that it is a public place, and I don’t have to hide to take pictures. I stood just 20 feet away from where they were getting engaged and pretended to take pictures of scenery. She might have seen me, but didn’t know why I was there. I love the close ups I was able to capture of Jakleen as David asked her to marry him. She had NO idea!
Afterwards, we walked around for a mini engagement session at the mill. Be on the lookout for those next week. Congrats to David and Jakleen! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these amazing pictures for you. I am so blessed to have been a part of your very special day! I hope you enjoy your wedding planning!
Genuine surprise! Y’all, I LOVE her face here! So amazing! Time to put the ring on! A beautiful prayer moment between the two of them Happy tears from Jakleen! Sweet celebratory hug! Oh and there’s the photographer that’s been taking pictures the whole time!
This is so sweet, and they look so happy!
I know! They were so happy! It was the best!
What a precious moment to capture!
Thanks! I LOVED this proposal!
