Roswell Photographer | Roswell Town Square Family Session
I have been shooting as a Roswell photographer for 14 years now. That is absolutely crazy to think about! One of my favorite things about being a Roswell photographer are the MANY great locations we have to take pictures. I live near the historic downtown area, and within a 3 mile radius of my home, we have three historic homes, two parks, the Roswell Mill, and multiple other unique locations that I can use for pictures. I’m so thankful for the location and opportunity to shoot in such an amazing town!
But one of my all time favorite locations that I kind of consider a “hidden gem” though people drive by it every day in Roswell is the Roswell Town Square. Located at the corner of a busy intersection at Marietta Hwy and Roswell St/Alpharetta Hwy, this spot is seriously one of my favorite locations to shoot family pictures.
Below are my top 5 reasons why I love the Roswell Town Square for a family session:
1) I love the light here at almost any time of the day. Because of the large trees that surround the square, it is beautiful with good light at basically any time of the day. I especially love the light in the fall around 4pm for a family session. It always hits just right and creates this gorgeous glow.
2) I love the stairs at the Roswell Town Square! As a Roswell photographer, I have shot at these stairs dozens and dozens of times. I love the backdrop they create and how easy it is to sit families for pictures. It’s such a good spot for pictures!
3) While it is in the middle of a busy area of Roswell traffic-wise, it’s almost always empty! There will be an occasional person walking around in the square, but it’s usually pretty open! There are events held here by the city, so I always have to check the calendar to make sure I’m double booking myself, but even those events are few and far between these days.
4) Because it’s located near a busier intersection, it’s easy access for my clients! There’s parking on 2/4 sides of the square with immediate access to the area which makes things super great for them and makes parking and meeting up a breeze!
5) In the fall, the colors are just beautiful! I love the yellows and oranges in the fall that are at the Roswell Town Square. I will never get tired of these beautiful colors as a Roswell photographer.
