Kathryn and Greg’s Joyful Wedding at The Wimbish House
May 22, 2026
A Special Day with a Special Family
Some weddings feel extra special from the very start. Kathryn and Greg’s wedding was one of those days for me. I first met Kathryn when I photographed her sister’s wedding back in 2019. I loved getting to know the Holland family then, so when Kathryn reached out about her own wedding, I felt so excited. Rachel and Jake were two that I truly loved, so I loved getting to see Rachel again at her sister’s wedding! Over the years, I have stayed connected with so many amazing couples and families. Getting the chance to photograph another wedding for this family meant a lot to me.
Before the wedding, we spent time together for their engagement session at Piedmont Park in March. They brought their sweet dog, Cooper, along for the session. She added so much fun to the photos. Since bringing Cooper to the wedding would have been a little stressful, their engagement session gave them the perfect way to include her in this season of life.
A Rainy Ceremony at The Wimbish House
Kathryn and Greg chose The Wimbish House for their wedding day, and it fit them perfectly. The Wimbish House, located in Midtown Atlanta, has such a timeless feel. Every room has beautiful character, and the outdoor spaces feel just as stunning. I have shot here once prior and loved it, so it was great to get to come back for another wedding here!
Their wedding day overflowed with joy and laughter from start to finish. Friends and family surrounded them with so much love all day long.
Rain moved in during the ceremony, which changed some of our original photo plans. We had to stay inside for most of the portraits after the ceremony. Thankfully, The Wimbish House looks beautiful inside and out, so we still had plenty of lovely places for photos. Later in the evening, the rain finally cleared. The sun came back out during the reception, and we quickly stepped outside for a few portraits. Kathryn and Greg especially wanted photos by the huge magnolia tree in front of the home. That tree is one of the most beautiful spots at The Wimbish House, so I felt so happy we made it outside in time.
A Quiet End to the Perfect Day
One of my favorite moments from the night came near the end of the reception. Before leaving for their honeymoon in Hawaii, Kathryn and Greg shared a quiet private dance together. After a full day of celebrating, they finally had a moment to slow down and take everything in. It was such a sweet way to end an amazing wedding day.
Kathryn and Greg, thank you both for trusting me to capture such an important season in your lives. Your day at The Wimbish House was full of so much joy, and I loved every minute of it.
