Savannah Engagement Pictures | Forsyth Park | Savannah, GA
A week and a half ago I had the opportunity to travel for Savannah engagement pictures for Teresa and Curtis. I did a set of them years ago for another couple, but it’s been at least 8 or 9 years since I did Savannah engagement pictures. I traveled down in January for the Southeast Photo Convention and did pictures at the Wormsloe Historic Site. I kept thinking about how awesome it would be to get to go to other cool spots around the city, especially for Savannah engagement pictures with one of my couples.
Teresa and Curtis came down to Savannah for the first time in March for St. Patricks Day weekend. We were in the middle of planning their engagement pictures for most likely Chattanooga and Northwest GA; and I told them they would fall in love with the city when they went down there. I joked that they would love it so much that they were going to want to do their engagement pictures down there. Well wouldn’t you know, Teresa texted me that weekend and told me I was right! They loved the city and would love to try and do their engagement pictures down there if we could make it happen. We got to talking the next week about possible dates and if we could really make this dream a reality (for both of us)!
Jenna and Tanner live in Jacksonville, FL (just two hours north of Savannah); and they won my anniversary session for my 2018 couples, so when I started talking to Teresa and Curtis about going down to Savannah, I asked Jenna if they would be free the same weekend so I could make it a mega travel photo weekend! Jenna was free and I set the dates to do both sets of pictures!
I had so much fun with Teresa and Curtis for their Savannah engagement pictures. I hope to get to go back to Savannah again sometime soon for more pictures. I love the history of the city and how beautiful everything is. As a former Georgia Studies teacher, I taught about Savannah for 7 years and went on 6 trips to Savannah with 8th graders. It’s always nice to get to go back and not have 300+ middle school students in tow!
I love the trees and the Spanish Moss in Savannah!
Wedding date!
I just love this part of Forsyth Park! So pretty!
Teresa and Curtis brought their dogs down for part of their session. Curtis’ sweet mom came down to help be dog wrangler!
I told Curtis to kiss Teresa on the face…
…he licked her. And then she licked him back.
Despite both going to SEC schools and playing each other in football, these two love each other very much.
