Lessons from Levi

Our last day in Branson came too fast! We had such a great time hanging with Jess and her family. On our last day there, we took their boat out for the morning. Recently purchased this spring, this boat has been a fun addition for their family and their weekends. I can imagine! They live just near the lake! I would go all of the time as well! This was Levi’s first time on a boat, so he absolutely loved it! They have this giant mat that is made of the same material as water noodles. It rolls out onto the water and the kids (and adults) can jump and layout on it. It’s really cool! It holds up to 1200 pounds evenly distributed, so we definitely could all sit on it and hang out! Levi wanted to swim under it with me, so we held our breaths, I held his hand tight, and we swam under the mat. I was super impressed with him and how much he wanted to do it.

After our lake trip, we said our goodbyes and headed out from Branson towards our next destination, St. Louis. Originally, this stop in St. Louis had not been on my radar. I had planned to drive the 7 hours from Branson to Louisville, KY; but after looking at the time we would be in the car and how late we would get to Louisville, I decided to stop halfway in St. Louis. It might have had to do with the fact that there is a Six Flags in St. Louis. The cool thing about your Six Flags season passes is that you can go to any of the parks in the U.S. with your pass, so why not try out a different park? I’m so glad I planned this stop! Levi had a BLAST at the park! For the first time ever, he decided to try some of the adult rides. The advantage of having a tall 3 year old is that he can ride a lot of rides. He asked to ride the Mine Train, Skyscreamer (200 ft high swings), and Thunder River. I was shocked at how much fun he had and how brave he was riding all of the rides.

We pretty much closed down the park leaving at 9pm and then headed to a late dinner at Steak n Shake. He didn’t get to bed until nearly midnight! He did so great despite going to bed so late! He’s so flexible! It was such a fun day!

Such a cool water toy to play on! The kids loved it! Picture before going in the park! Of course the first ride we rode was the train Their playground was 10 times better than the one in Atlanta!  He saw Bugs Bunny on top of this water tower and did this! He said “look Mama! I’m like that rabbit!” Ready to ride the Skyscreamer!  Soaked after riding Thunder River Beautiful sunset view from the giant ferris wheel at the park Late night dinner and milkshake!
