Andie and Chandler | Berry College Wedding

A Berry College wedding always holds a special place in my heart. I went there as a student and had my own Berry College wedding in 2007, so getting to go back is always awesome. I know Andie from back in the day when she was a highschooler at my church. I started volunteering with the youth group at my church back in 2010 and Andie was in high school when I first met her. I remember when she was applying to Berry and how excited I was to hear she wanted to go to my alma mater!

Andie and Chandler met their freshmen year and dated most of their college years. I was so excited when she reached out to me last fall about her wedding. I got to do their engagement pictures at Berry as well! We did a fall engagement session and a winter wedding.

Their Berry College wedding day was rainy- of course- because the end of 2018 it had been raining in Georgia non-stop basically every single day. I actually like rainy day weddings as long as it doesn’t rain the whole day. I love using a clear umbrella as a prop and often the rain will make for some pretty pictures. And y’all, their pictures turned out amazing. I am so thankful to Andie and Chandler for trusting me to take pictures while it rained. Luckily it wasn’t too hard and no one got soaked, just a little sprinkling while we took pictures.

Andie’s dress was stunning. I mean seriously, it was the perfect winter dress for her winter Berry College wedding. In the pictures I’ve shared so far everyone keeps commenting on her gorgeous dress. The sleeves were stunning and the lace really made for the perfect winter dress. Andie said she felt like she was wearing a really nice table cloth. I told her it was the most expensive table cloth she’s ever purchased; and then I told her that her dress was more stunning than a table cloth!

Their reception was at the new Christopher Browning  pavilion at Oak Hill. This new reception space is absolutely perfect for a Berry College wedding. Previously there were only two real reception space options on the campus at Ford Dining Hall and Krannert Ballrooms, but this new space is absolutely stunning. The many windows makes for beautiful lighting and the wooden ceiling with the rafters really makes it feel like this lodge. I cannot wait to shoot more Berry College weddings and get to shoot this space again.

We had such a fun day! Tons of laughing and smiles from everyone throughout the day. Thanks so much to Andie and Chandler for having me there for your wedding. I had such a wonderful time and am so thankful you had me as your photographer. Evie and I had a blast working with y’all! 

 Look at this beautiful ivory dress! Those sleeves and lace!  I love all of the little details!  Andie, you are stunning!  One of Andie’s buttons came off, but luckily I have my wedding day kit and the sewing kit saved the day! We used the sewing kit at three different weddings this year! I’m so glad I bring my kit to all weddings!  First Look time! Chandler did an audible gasp when he saw Andie. It 100% made me start tearing up behind the camera while taking this sweet picture. I loved this moment so much!  Time for gift exchanging! 2018- Workmans!  This bouquet is one of the biggest and amazing bouquets I have ever seen! For those of you who don’t know Berry, this is the Ford Complex. It’s named after Henry Ford because he donated money to the campus to build this space. I lived here all four years of my college career at Berry. I even took pictures for my wedding up here!  A little rain never hurt anyone. In fact, it makes for pretty awesome pictures! One of my favorites of the day!   It stopped raining for a while and the sky was gorgeous!  Frost is one of my favorite chapels to take pictures. I love it so much!  Andie had the most amazing expressions all night while dancing! If you follow me at all, you know I love to get on the dance floor with my brides; and Ben or Evie always capture a shot of me doing so! Andie’s great-aunt had a fun time on the dance floor!  Andie and her grandmother dancing together. I about died when I heard Andie had told her grandmother, “You’re going to die soon, so get out there and dance with me!” I’m so glad we were able to capture these fun pictures for them!  Arianna and Parker are hilarious!
